"Learn to change your game plan if things are not working when fishing"
Salt has run in the veins of Troy since he was born having never lived more than a few kilometres from the ocean his whole life. Early childhood saw him learning to fish around the wharfs of Greymouth, Motueka and Nelson.
"I’m lucky enough to see some of the best wildlife you could imagine at work with a resident population of fur seals, blue penguins and yearly calls of Orca feeding on the plentiful sting rays." Mechanical and slow jigging are the main forms of fishing for Troy these days with a firm belief in catch and release to preserve the fish stocks for further generations.
